Is Rihanna Denying Kanye’s Influence Because of The Backlash?

A day after Rihanna returned to the stage after 7 years, she is trending for several reasons . The first reason being, the Bajan pop star essentially announced her second pregnancy within the two last years. Her first son with beau A$ap Rocky was born 9months ago.

However , her choice of attire also caused a stir because it looked similar to an outfit that Kanye West donned at a Donda listening party  in 2021.

The singer also brought floating stages to the stadium that were first popularized by West in 2016 for his Saint Pablo tour.

Her dancers also wore glasses that look similar to Kanye’s collaboration with Gap.

Rihanna caused outrage with performing “All of The Lights”, a song she featured on with the rapper .

  And Twitter responded..

The commonalities are so cunning that people on Twitter think the rapper directed the show.

However , despite the “similarities” it’s been reported that she was honoring the late Andre Leon Talley . He was famously know for his sleeping bag coats.  Rihanna wore a full-length red Alaïa puffer Which would be amazing seeing as though the bob wearing woman did the bare minimum for the icon…

Has Rihanna decided to deny the Kanye tribute because of the backlash or has she decided not to address the elephant in the room. Either way the comparisons are clear to her previous RocNations label mate .Even though fans wanted to see him come out as she performed songs they had together, it seemed like a silent homage. “All of The Lights” has made its way to the #1 spot on the ITunes Hip Hop chart  for the first time in 13 years.

Since we have never known Rihanna to back down from controversy , we’ll wait for her to speak about it..

Here are some photographs of Andre Leon Talley and Rihanna over the years.  The two have been photographed several times at fashion events, such as the Met Gala . He was a huge icon in the fashion industry for decades and is definitely missed .
