The Product 3: Emerge & See

A couple of weeks ago , August Alsina was trending for about 4 days . I figured the internet was giving him his flowers while he was still here . Over the years , August Alsina has had several life altering events happen to him . We’ve witnessed him go through his trials in the public eye and trying to adjust to fame. His first EP and album gave us a look into his life , from the death of his brother to leaving the street life. He has been transparent, but the industry didn’t seem to be able to handle it.

His previous health conditions and label battle seemed to hinder him from making music for a while. However, he did drop an EP last year for Valentines Day along with covers of other artist songs .

He’s back with the third addition to his “The Product” series . For day one August fans we know what that is , I’m excited to hear his perspective on life after so much grief. His sister in law passed at the end of 2018, leaving him to be the custodial parent of his brothers three children .

He’s also discussed his health problems in a sit down with Jada Pinkett Smith, in which he used as an intro to his 2017 -2018 “Don’t Matter Tour”.

He was also been featured on “Red Table Talk” last year discussing his prescription drug addiction . He brought “The Shaderoom” into his home as well to do an in depth interview about a lot .

So he is back with a 5 part documentary and album, he has left Def Jam and currently signed to Empire records . Last night , he posted to his Instagram and announced the news . Since we rarely see August Alsina on social media , it was a breath of fresh air to hear about new music at a time like this .

Welcome Back you are appreciated and missed . He dropped a single called “Today” a couple of months ago and now we are getting an album. To catch up on “The Product” series , the links are below.
